Visite du Branchage

The second Visite du Branchage will take place on Thursday, 3 September 2026.

Occupiers of land bordering on the public roads of the Parish must trim hedges and branches and cut all overhanging trees so as to give a clearance of 12 feet over main roads and by-roads and 8 feet over footpaths and must remove and other encroachments including all cuttings and trimmings on the public highway. A financial penalty up to £100 may be levied for each infraction.

All landowners and occupiers are reminded to consider the impact on wildlife and the environment in general when cutting back shrubs and hedgerows. Please read the attached document, which provides a helpful guide to trimming the branchage.
