Ecclesiastical Assembly

An Assembly of Principals and Electors of The Parish of St. Ouën will be held on Wednesday 21 February 2024 at 7:30pm in The Parish Hall to:

1. Approve if deemed advisable, The Act of the Assembly of the 28 June 2023.

• Receive a proposal from the Rector and Surveillants to create accessible toilets in the northwest corner of the Nave of the Parish Church, involving the removal or shortening of up to 9 pews, in accordance with the details of the Plan No.s JER120C2 and JER130.  The total cost of the proposed works will be funded by the Parish Church.

• If deemed appropriate authorise Le Rectorat ou Bénéfice de la Paroisse de St Ouën to submit a planning application to the States of Jersey Planning Department in relation to the creation of the said toilet facilities.

• If deemed appropriate authorise the Rector and Surveillants to seek a Faculty from the Ecclesiastical Court in relation to the creation of the said toilet facilities.

• To authorise the Le Rectorat ou Bénéfice de la Paroisse de St Ouën to do any and all things in relation to the creation of the said toilet facilties required to:

• give effect to items 3 and 4.
• negotiate, conclude, agree any amendments to, and enter into, all design, construction and other agreements ; and
• take all other actions, that members of Le Rectorat ou Bénéfice de la Paroisse de St Ouën deem necessary or incidental thereto in order to install the said toilet facilities, (including repositioning the memorial plaque currently situated in the northwest corner of the Nave to a new position within the Parish Church approved by the Ecclesiastical Court).
